How we list firms
InsuranceFinder is a free online database of insurance agents, brokers and carriers. Here’s how firms appear on it, and what we won’t do.
Listed A to Z
On city pages, firms are listed A to Z by name. On coverage pages, we list only firms that show that coverage on their page: firms with an office in the city first, then firms nearby, then firms elsewhere in the state, each group A to Z. Search results may be ordered differently.
Ads, when shown, are labeled Ad and sit apart from the list. They don’t change its order.
No one can pay to rank
Being listed is free. No firm can pay to be listed, to move up a list or to change the order of any list.
Ads are the only paid placement, and every ad is labeled Ad.
Real firms only
Every firm listed is a real insurance business with its own working website and logo.
A card shows what the firm itself publishes, such as its office address, phone number, website and the kinds of insurance shown on its site. If something isn’t published, we leave it out rather than fill it in.
The homepage
The people shown on the homepage come from firms listed on InsuranceFinder. Being shown there isn’t a rating or recommendation, and no one can pay to appear there. Ads on the homepage are labeled Ad.
Fix or remove a listing
If you work at a listed firm and something on its page is wrong, email us the page link and the correction. A firm can also ask to be removed from InsuranceFinder.

What we don’t do
InsuranceFinder isn’t an insurance agency. We don’t sell insurance, and we don’t rate, recommend, endorse or certify any firm or person.
License details, where shown, may be out of date. Check any agent’s license with your state insurance department.
