Agencies and brokers
An Insurance agency or broker may offer products from one or more carriers. When our records support it, they appear with a local footprint, website, and published phone as directory data.
Carriers
A carrier is an underwriter or brand. Carriers may appear with a wide footprint and are labeled as carriers. Appointments (who may represent which carrier) are confirmed with the firm or the state — not by InsuranceFinder.
Why both appear
The directory includes both so searches are not padded with invented local agents in empty places. Empty stays empty.
Reading the card
A card may show name, website, published phone, a Licensing strip, and coverage lines the firm advertises. Confirm licensing and appointments with the firm or the official state tool — see How to check an insurance license.
When a listing stays on hold
Some submissions wait while entity names, phones, or brand relationships are clarified. That is an operations step before publish — not a public ranking.
