Health insurance
InsuranceFinder coverage guide · Updated September 2026
Notice: We do not enroll in or quote health plans, Medicare, dental, or vision plans. Some listed agencies hold life and health licenses; please call or contact them directly to ask about plan availability.
Health insurance commonly helps pay for medical treatments, doctor visits, inpatient hospital care, and prescription medicines when those services are covered by the plan. What is covered, and how much, depends on the form, network, and cost-sharing. Note: InsuranceFinder does not enroll in or quote health plans. Open a firm's published profile for contact details.
Health insurance coverage breakdown
Plan designs differ (for example HMO, PPO, EPO, and high-deductible forms). The contract, network rules, and deductibles decide what is paid — not a firm page.
Office visits, specialists, and many outpatient services when they are in-network and meet the plan’s rules, subject to copays, coinsurance, and deductibles.
Covered inpatient stays and related hospital services when the plan approves them under its terms. Emergency rules and prior-authorization rules still apply when the form says so.
Covered drugs on the plan’s formulary, often in tiers with different cost-sharing. Some drugs need prior authorization or step therapy — the form and formulary decide.
Many plans list certain preventive services with little or no cost-sharing when they meet the plan’s rules. What counts as preventive is defined by the form, not by this page.
Who typically uses health insurance
Health coverage is typically carried by people who need help with medical bills through an employer plan, an individual or marketplace plan, or another group arrangement. Medicare, dental, and vision are often separate products or pages. Published firms here are firms that publish health among their lines — plan availability still depends on the firm and the plans they offer, not on InsuranceFinder.
Cosmetic procedures, experimental treatments, and care outside network rules are commonly limited or excluded. Waiting periods, annual or lifetime limits (where still allowed), and out-of-pocket maximums still apply as written. Dental, vision, and long-term care are often not included unless the form or a rider says so. Education only — not advice to buy or enroll.
